Per effettuare questa installazione assicurarsi di aver installato gli ultimi driver tramite Kies Samsung.
Collegare il Galaxy W al PC tramite cavo USB e assicurarsi che venga riconosciuto come dispositivo mobile in Risorse del Computer (o Computer su Windows 7).
Disconnettere il Galaxy dal PC.
Abilitare il debug via USB. Per fare ciò basta andare in Applicazioni -> Opzioni Sviluppatore -> Debug USB e mettere la spunta a questa voce.
È necessario ora scaricare:
Una volta avviata l’interfaccia di Odin, si caricano il file Ancora.ops e l’immagine md5 della CWM. Impostare le altre impostazioni come da foto
Riavviare il Galaxy in Download Mode (Volume Giù + Home + Power e rilasciare solo il tasto Power quando esce la scritta Samsung) e premere Volume Su quando richiesto
Ricollegare il Galaxy al PC e solo a questo punto è possibile cliccare su Start in Odin.
L’operazione dura circa 5 minuti Il telefono si riavvierà automaticamente e successivamente bisogna attendere che la procedura vada a buon fine!
Per scorrere le varie voci dei menù usare i tasti SU e GIU'
Per confermare la scelta usare il tasto fisico centrale in basso
Per tornare indietro usare il tasto POWER

INSTALLAZIONE
Requisiti
- Fare un Backup di sicurezza (io consiglio il backup tramite CWM Recovery sotto la voce
backup and restore) nel caso in cui si vuole per qualche ragione tornare allo stato
precedente all'installazione della ROM
Procedimento
- Download della ROM e delle Gapps dai link segnalati sopra
- Posizionate i due file scaricati in una scheda SD esterna o nella memoria interna
- Seguite la procedura 1 o 2 a seconda dei casi
1. per chi viene da altre rom (2.3.6 o 4.0.4 o 4.1.2) !!!
- Riavviare lo smartphone in CWM Recovery (Volume SU + POWER + Tasto centrale)
- Selezionare wipe data/factory reset
- Selezionare wipe cache partition
- Per una installazione pulita consiglio di andare nel menù mounts and storage e fare i
vari format (attenzione: non formattate la memoria interna o esterna dove avete
posizionato i file da flashare ovvero la ROM e le Gapps.
- Andare nel menù advanced e selezionate wipe dalvik cache e battery stats
- Andare nel menù install zip from sdcard e se i file zip sono nella memoria interna
selezionare choose zip from sdcard altrimenti form external sdcard
- Andare nella cartella dove sono stati posizionati i file
- Flashare ROM.zip (il nome è solo rappresentativo)
- Flash Gapps.zip
- Riavviare lo smartphone
- Attendere che il tutto sia completo
- Riavviare lo smartphone in CWM Recovery (Volume SU + POWER + Tasto centrale)
- Andare nel menù install zip from sdcard e se i file zip sono nella memoria interna
selezionare choose zip from sdcard altrimenti form external sdcard
- Andare nella cartella dove sono stati posizionati i file
- Flashare ROM.zip (il nome è solo rappresentativo)
- Flash Gapps.zip
- Riavviare lo smartphone
- Attendere che il tutto sia completo
Non ripristinare dati di sistema provenienti da ROM precedenti !!!!

Niente di più semplice. Andate in impostazioni-info sul telefono. Cliccate 7 volte sull'ultima voce e compariranno tutte le impostazioni desiderate.
2. La radio FM non funziona
Sì! Usando questa guida! (sì lo so è scritto cm9 ma va bene anche sulla cm10.1)
3. Posso installare altri Kernel?
NO!!! Per ora i kernel usciti sono ancora per ICS. Se flashate quelli avrete bootloop! UNICA ECCEZIONE: kernel forfivo (semplice aggiunta di OC e qualche governor).

4. Voglio attivare l'opzione di riavvio in Recovery e Downloadmode
Seguire prima di tutto la PRIMA faq. Poi, una volta attivate le opzioni di sviluppatore, la terza voce di queste permette l'attivazione della scelta del tipo di riavvio.
5. Voglio attivare il debug USB
Seguire prima di tutto la PRIMA faq. Attivate le impostazione sviluppatore, dentro di esse ci sarà la possibilità di attivare il debug usb.

- Ho riscontrato dei fastidiosi spegnimenti improvvisi con la RC 8. La batteria non era scarica ed anche quando l'ho riacceso il livello di batteria era normale o almeno tale da non giustificare lo spegnimento. Mi è successo 3 volte in una giornata pertanto ho deciso di reinstallare la RC 7 che non dà problemi in attesa di release successive. Credo che il problema possa essere causato dall'inserimento del nuovo kernel che sicuramente è da perfezionare.
- Ho installato la RC 9 per sperimentare i possibili fix agli spegnimenti improvvisi e il problema sembra essere risolto
- E' stata rilasciata la versione finale EOL. Non ci saranno più aggiornamenti per questo smartphone per quanto riguarda la versione CM9

Consiglio di disattivare antivirus e programmi inutili prima di avviare l'aggiornamento e di avere l'ultima versione di KIES installata visto che contiene l'ultima versione dei driver USB

Installazione:
1. Estrarre la ROM e ODIN in una cartella sul Desktop

- Spegnere il Tablet, avendo più del 60% di carica
- Entrare in CWM
- Wipe cache partition
- Wipe data
- Selezionare Advanced
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Wipe battery stats
- Ritornare al menù principale
- Selezionare Mount and Storage
- Format data
- Format cache
- Format system
- Format SD card
- Ritornare al menù principale
- Reboot system now, e appena lo schermo si spegne premere IMMEDIATAMENTE i tasti Vol Down + Power per entrare in Download Mode
- Seguire la procedura per flashare un firmware originale tramite ODIN PC
